Get a free item from Kroger's Deal of the Day

Do you shop at a Kroger chain store in your community?  Kroger stores include the following chains:  Baker, Cala/Bell, Carrs, City Market, Dillons, Fred Meyer, Fry, Genuardi, Gerbes, Giant Eagle, Hilander, JayC, King Soopers, Kroger, Lowes Foods, Owen, Pavilions, Payless, QFC, Ralphs, Randalls, Scott, Shop 'n Save, ShopRite, Smith, Tom Thumb, or Vons.

If you have a shopper's loyalty card at one of these stores, you could win a free item from Kroger's Deal of the Day.   Each day between 2/27/11-3/12/11, at 3 p.m. EST, Kroger will be giving away up to 1,000 items to lucky shoppers who check the site.  The item could be free or heavily discounted.  If you win, simply download the item on to your shopper's loyalty card (ah, paper-free technology...) and bring it in to your nearest Kroger's chain store.  Make sure you find your store, create an account and register your loyalty card online ahead of time so if you do win, you will save time retrieving your prize.  (While you're registering your card, make sure and download the tons of valuable digital coupons available and stack them with your paper coupons.  The digital coupons will show up when you swipe your card.)
